Yahzi Rose Newsletter
Greetings!OK, take a deep breath everyone… there are only a few weeks of summer left! For some this means daily reliving those vacation memories and others breathe a sigh of relief over hanging up the chauffeur’s hat as the classes and camps come to an end. We’ve been busy as ever simultaneously making people aware of Yahzi Rose while trying to enjoy this Northern California weather – shorts for the kids one week, sweaters the next. We’ve created a newsletter archive for those of you who are receiving this for the first time and would like to get acquainted with Yahzi Rose. And for the regular subscribers who can’t remember which fruit to buy organic or the company that made those cute chef kits, you’re just a click away.
As usual, we have exciting news to share…
Shop YR online!
Champagne and juice-boxes are on the house for the grand opening of the Yahzi Rose online store (don’t you just love virtual entertaining)! The Fall collection is available for preorder to be shipped mid September. There are Global Baby Sets for expectant moms and Hooded towels for the little ones under 2 years. We also have a limited amount of cozy Coverups left for wrapping up wet bodies.
YR is committed to learning sustainable practices in business & daily life. Each month we will include an easy to incorporate tip to assist with Going Green. OK, now this tip may go against those age-old lessons learned when we first started doing chores but don’t cross your arms yet… trust me. Washing your clothes in COLD water conserves energy, money and is usually just as effective as hot water! I’ve tested it out over the last couple of months with the same detergent I always use and it’s true, our clothes still get just as clean and smell fresh as ever. Yes, I spray on stain remover and wash my whites in hot, but unless my little ones have decided to test the boundaries on grime (in which case we’ll turn the knob to warm), COLD water washing amazingly works great! ~ 80-90% of the energy used to do laundry goes to heating the water. You will be saving a great deal of energy and preventing about 1200 lbs of CO2 from entering the air.
~ Households save an average of $61 per year when they switch from hot to cold.
~ Your clothing will keep its color longer than if you washed in hot water.
