This Summer is all about Art, Wine & Children’s Gifts! July 21, 2009

July 2009 Eblast

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been playing Michael Jackson non-stop!  My daughter jumped in the car the other day and said, “Guess what mommy? My friend and I have the same favorite song, Billie Jean!”  Although most of the world is mourning MJ, it warms my heart to see a new generation of children enjoying his great songs, innovative dancing & incredible performances simply because we are reminiscing.
We hope you are enjoying your summer so far.  If you are like most, you have tons of birthday parties and showers to attend (or not).  Avoid running to the big box stores for long lines and boring presents by letting your fingers do the walking.. across your keyboard 😉  Go online or give us a call for a unique Yahzi Rose gift.

Summer Reading Programs

Does your child love to read or is it like pulling teeth to go cover to cover?  Either way, a good reward or incentive is a small price to pay for expanding their minds.  Some programs even offer rewards for toddlers having books read to them.  Check out these Summer Reading Programs and get started!

  • Your local library is sure to have a great program.  Some offer attraction tickets, toys, and even carnivals as rewards.

  • With Borders you receive a book at a 50% discount after completing their challenge.
  • Half Price Books gives kids a $3 shopping card for every book read for 15 minutes!
  • Book Adventure was created by Sylvan Learning Center. Here, kids earn prizes by completing quizzes online.
  • Barnes & Noble offers a free book for every 8 that are read!

Did you actually read all the way through?  Great!  Well, forward it to friends and tell them to subscribe.  We’d also love to hear from you.  Email pictures of your little ones in our products, comments on the articles or suggestions for featured websites.
